Dr. Ashrafi is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at San Diego State University and Director of the Signal Processing Research Laboratory. His work bridges rigorous theory and applied problem-solving across signal processing, machine learning, estimation, graph signal processing, and biomedical data.
He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics Engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology and M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, all with highest honors.
